If you're writing a Windows device driver for a specific category of device, you can use the following list to select the right pre-defined values to use for the Class
and ClassGuid
entries in the Version Section of the driver's INF file.
Note
If you're looking for info on reserved classes and GUIDs, see System-Defined Device Setup Classes Reserved for System Use.
To see how these entries appear in an INF file, check out cdrom.inf in the Windows driver samples repo.
Values in the list can be used to install device drivers on Windows 2000 and later, unless specially noted.
Note
The package provides the installation files for FTDI USB Serial Port Driver version 2.12.16.0. If the driver is already installed on your system, updating (overwrite-installing) may fix various issues, add new functions, or just upgrade to the available version. If you have to manually install a driver for the device — perhaps the driver is already installed on your system — you can use the Update Driver button in the device’s Properties window. If the device driver is already installed on your system, click the “Browse my computer for driver software” link and choose an installed driver.
If you're looking for info on troubleshooting a problem with a CD or DVD drive, see The CD drive or the DVD drive does not work as expected.
Synaptics Pointing Device Driver 19.0.19.63 on 32-bit and 64-bit PCs. This download is licensed as freeware for the Windows (32-bit and 64-bit) operating system on a laptop or desktop PC from drivers without restrictions. Synaptics Pointing Device Driver 19.0.19.63 is available to all software users as a free download for Windows. Do NOT have the Edgeport USB device plugged into the USB port when starting the driver installation. You must have Administrator rights when installing the Edgeport driver. At this time, the current Edgeport driver is v5.70, it works for ALL model Edgeport USB-to-serial converters, and it's compatible with the following Operating Systems.
